Staying ahead in timed auctions means watching both email / account notifications (when configured) and the live listing page which streams bid activity when your browser maintains a websocket connection.

Outbid alerts

When another bidder exceeds your amount, prior leaders may receive notifications according to platform hooks and your notification preferences. Do not rely solely on email during the final seconds—keep the auction page open.

Ending-soon reminders

Use visible timers on the listing and your own calendar reminders for lots you care about; optional email digests may exist depending on settings.

If updates pause

Reload the page, try another network, or review live update troubleshooting. Polling fallbacks may run slower than websocket mode.
