Edit, close, or cancel an auction
Last updated: April 27, 2026
Sellers manage listings from My Auctions and related seller tools. Buyers should watch status and timers on the listing page—your bids remain subject to platform rules until the event closes or is cancelled.
Editing an active listing
- Open your seller dashboard or edit flow for the auction.
- Adjust allowed fields (description, shipping notes, increments in some cases, timing where permitted). Restrictions tighten once bidding is underway—if a field cannot change, the form will indicate why.
- Major changes during live bidding may be limited to protect participants; when in doubt, coordinate via Messages and document agreements.
Cancellation
Cancelling an auction typically ends bidding immediately. Existing bids may be marked superseded or invalid depending on closure reason and timing—buyers expecting to win should watch email or in-app notices and move dispute questions to support tickets when money or delivery was already underway.
Natural closure
When time expires without cancellation, status moves toward ended outcomes and downstream settlement (winner selection, reserve checks, Buy Now reconciliation). See status meanings.
